May 28 (Reuters) – Verizon (VZ.N) said on Tuesday that it added Comcast’s (CMCSA.O) Peacock to its streaming subscription hub and plans to offer YouTube Premium at a discounted rate with myPlan subscriptions.

The telecom firm said it will offer YouTube Premium for $10 per month, offering savings of 30% to myPlan customers, starting Thursday.

Peacock streaming service, under NBCUniversal, will be made available from June 5 through Verizon’s +play, an entertainment hub that offers consolidated streaming and lifestyle subscriptions to customers.

Comcast recently announced price hikes for Peacock ahead of the Olympic Games in Paris this summer.

Peacock premium – an ad-supported offering – will cost $7.99 per month, while its ad-free offering – premium plus – will be priced at $13.99 a month, the company said last month.

The New York-based company has benefited from its customizable myPlan options and streaming bundles offering discounted pricing for services such as Netflix (NFLX.O) and Warner Bros Discovery’s (WBD.O) Max, which has attracted customers.

The company introduced promotional bundle for six months of free access to Disney’s (DIS.N) services for new and existing customers on some plans.

Verizon on Tuesday also announced the Ultimate Phone Upgrade program, which gives customers on the Unlimited Ultimate wireless plan their best phone and device promos when they trade in an older one.
