April 7 (Reuters) – Fox Corp (FOXA.O) said on Tuesday it will integrate Kalshi’s prediction market data across its news and streaming platforms, reflecting a broader trend among media organizations to use market-based probabilities to complement traditional reporting.
- Under the deal, Kalshi’s data will be incorporated into FOX News Channel, FOX Business Network, FOX Weather and Fox’s direct-to-consumer streaming platform, FOX One, providing forecasts linked to political, economic, weather and cultural events.
- Kalshi will also work directly with Fox production teams to support real-time data visualization.
- Prediction markets, which allow users to trade on the likelihood of future events, have become very popular after the 2024 U.S. presidential election.
- Kalshi said around 70% of visitors use the platform primarily to view forecasts rather than for trading, underscoring growing demand for crowd-sourced probability data as an information tool.
