BEIJING, Sept 11 (Reuters) – China’s cyberspace authority summoned and penalised Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu, accusing the popular app of “damaging the internet ecology”, the regulator said in a statement on Thursday.
The company did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
