Oppo is gearing up to launch the Reno 3 Pro in India very soon. The teasers for the Oppo Reno 3 Pro are already out on Flipkart and Amazon India highlighting a dual punch-hole selfie camera setup. It’s been reported that the Reno 3 Pro India variant will be very different from the Reno 3 Pro 5G model introduced in China in December. The new Oppo phone is set to debut in the Indian market with a dual hole-punch selfie camera setup. The smartphone is also touted to come to the country with some “Expert Camera credentials”.

Amazon and Flipkart both have created dedicated microsites to tease the launch of the Oppo Reno 3 Pro in India. The teasers on the microsites confirm the presence of a dual hole-punch selfie camera that is unlike the Reno 3 Pro model launched in China that had a single hole-punch selfie camera module.

The micro-site teasers on the e-commerce platforms confirm that the Oppo Reno 3 Pro India model will come with a dual punch-hole selfie camera. The China variant Reno 3 Pro had launched with a single hole-punch selfie camera module. Flipkart teaser reads, “Introducing Dual Punch Hole Camera in Oppo Reno 3 Pro. It helps create dream-like images with Dual Lens Bokeh.”

Amazon India has also teased same dual punch-hole selfie camera with an image and a short video clip. The Chinese smartphone is preparing to launch the 4G version of the smartphone in the country. Recently, Tasleem Arif, VP and Head of India R&D, Oppo India has confirmed the upcoming launch.

The Chinese variant of Reno 3 Pro was launched with Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, which brings integrated 5G modem. The chipset relies on Snapdragon X52 modem, which makes it a 5G device. However, Arif revealed that the Reno 3 Pro in India will come with 4G specifications. This could mean chipset like Snapdragon 730G or something else. The tweet also revealed that the device will come with “Expert Camera”.

Other specifications of the device are not available right now. As per rumors, it should feature a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with in-display fingerprint sensor. It could be offered in two storage variants: 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB. The device should run Android 10 based on ColorOS 7 and is expected to house a 4,025mAh battery. It should support 30W fast charging as well.

Google Pixel 5 XL Purported Render Surfaces Online, Triple Rear Cameras, Matte-Finish Glass Back Indicated

Google Pixel 5, or what we can simply believe as the successor to the Pixel 4, isn’t likely to be launched anytime soon. But ahead of any official announcements or teasers, a render that is believed to be of the Google Pixel 5 XL has surfaced. The render suggests some similarities between the Pixel 4 and Pixel 5 XL. Also, it hints at the presence of a triple rear camera setup on the new Pixel phone. Some recent reports have suggested the development of the Pixel 4a that could come as the successor to the Pixel 3a phones. However, we are yet to hear any no rumours around the debut of the Pixel 5 or Pixel 5 XL.

YouTuber Jon Prosser has showcased the purported render of the Google Pixel 5 XL through a video posted on his YouTube channel. Prosser notes in the video that the source of the leaked render is “extremely trustworthy,” though the YouTuber himself spent a couple of days to verify it before making the render public through the YouTube channel.

The texture, suggested by the render, at the back of the Pixel 5 XL looks quite similar to what is featured on the Pixel 4 — with a soft matte glass back and a glossy camera module. Particularly, the camera module appears to have three distinct image sensors, along with a wide-angle lens. The camera setup seems to feature a divisive design that isn’t been loved by everyone.

Just like any other smartphone maker, Google usually tests multiple prototypes before finalising a new smartphone design. It is, therefore, possible that the actual Pixel 5 XL would come with several changes over what we see in the render.

During the narration in the video, Prosser has mentioned that apart from seeing the back, the YouTuber was able to see the front of the Pixel 5 XL that has a forehead — just like the existing Pixel phones. Prosser, however, didn’t provide any renders suggesting the front panel of the smartphone.

Google is hosting its I/O 2020 starting May 12 where it is likely to unveil the Pixel 4a. This would be relatively affordable over the Pixel 5 and Pixel 5 XL flagships that are expected to unveil at a hardware-focussed event sometime in October.

Sounds like Qualcomm’s antennas are too large for Apple and that is why the iPhone manufacturer is designing the antenna module that’ll be utilized in its own 5G iPhone versions. According to a report in Fast Company, in a year where the 5G radio will be the new iPhone’s spotlight feature, Apple has made a decision to style the telephone antenna itself.

Apple balked at the QTM 525 millimetre-wave antenna module offered to it by Qualcomm because it doesn’t fit into the sleek industrial design Apple wants for the new cell-phone, a source with knowledge of Apple’s programs told Fast Company on Friday.

However, chipset producing giant Qualcomm will still provide the 5G modem chip used in the new iPhones.

Apple usually layouts on many monitors, and it is simultaneously working on a different layout that utilizes the Qualcomm antenna and modem.

It might default to the option after this season, our source stated. But that will need Apple to settle for a somewhat thicker iPhone than it needs. Qualcomm has stated that its QTM 525 antenna module may support 5G smartphone layouts quicker than 8 millimetres thick, the report added.

Apple is expected to launch as many as four new iPhone models spread across different display sizes in 2020. The recent report claimed that the iPhone 12 will come in three size versions, including 5.4-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.7-inch, but Apple will release two distinct 6.1-inch models, according to a source. The 6.7-inch model will have a thickness of around 7.4mm, which would be nearly 10 per cent thinner than the iPhone 11 Pro Max at 8.1mm.

Additionally, it also claims that the 6.7-inch model will be slightly taller than the iPhone 11 Pro Max and feature a triple-lens rear camera.
